The Raven Run: Celebrating Place Saturday, July 12 - 9:00 a.m. Experience the natural beauty that has inspired Bernd Heinrich's groundbreaking work and remarkable athletic achievements. Join us for 4 miles of spectacular mountain running overlooking the pristine waters of Webb Lake and surrounded by the Tumbledown Range. This special event honors legendary ultramarathoner, acclaimed biologist, and award-winning author Bernd Heinrich on his 85th birthday while supporting the Webb Lake Association's conservation efforts. The first-place male and female finishers will each receive $100 and have their names etched on the commemorative Raven Run trophy. The 4-mile out-and-back course begins at Mt. Blue State Park Headquarters overlooking Webb Lake. After a short paved section, runners continue on Center Hill Road's hard packed dirt surface for two miles to the turnaround at Mt.
